Kelowna - Lupus

If you've been living with the skin symptoms of lupus — rashes, lesions, flares — you know how much they can impact your day-to-day life. Current treatment options don't work for everyone, and finding lasting relief can feel like a constant challenge.

That's why researchers are studying a new investigational treatment for lupus that affects the skin. This Phase 3 clinical research study is taking place at research sites around the world, including right here in Canada, and we're currently enrolling participants.

About the Study

This study is evaluating whether an investigational medication, taken alongside your current lupus treatment, can help reduce skin disease activity over 24 weeks. It is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, meaning some participants will receive the investigational medication and some will receive a placebo — all alongside their current standard of care.

You May Be Eligible If You:

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Have been diagnosed with lupus that affects your skin (such as discoid lupus, subacute cutaneous lupus, or acute cutaneous lupus)
  • Are currently experiencing active skin symptoms
  • Are under the care of a physician for lupus

Why Participate?

By taking part in this study, you may gain access to an investigational treatment, receive study-related care at no cost, and contribute to research that could help future patients living with lupus.
